Severance Corners is conveniently located in the heart of Colchester’s future town center, at the corner of Route 7 and Blakely Road. Though Colchester is Vermont’s 4th largest city, it is still a relatively small town, with 58 square miles of land and just 17,000 residents. Colchester boasts 27 miles of shoreline along Lake Champlain, the most of any Vermont community. The lake’s sparkling waters are never far away, giving residents breathtaking views, fresh, clean air and abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation.
Though Severance Corners is in a rural setting, the location couldn’t be more convenient. Within a 3 mile radius you can access one of Vermont’s top public school systems; the marinas and boat clubs of Malletts Bay on Lake Champlain; the Burlington-Colchester bike path; shopping and restaurants; three popular farmers markets; the town post office and library; and Interstate 89. It’s less than 5 miles to Vermont’s largest hospital and largest airport, the Burlington’s Church Street Marketplace, the Flynn Performing Arts Center and two championship 18-hole golf courses. Montreal is only 2 hours to the north and Boston and New York City are an easy half-day drive to the south.
